Rural Community Network (RCN) is a regional voluntary organisation established in 1991 by community groups from rural areas across Northern Ireland to articulate the voice of rura l communities on issues relating to poverty, disadvantage and equality. RCN is managed by a voluntary committee, elected every 2 years, made up of 2 community representatives from each of the 6 counties, along with voluntary organisations, statutory and other interested representatives. It attempts to reflect a broad geographical, gender and religious mix in its membership and Board.
